For me - acid sensation is more a matter of the location in the mouth where the 'feeling' is occurring. eg. the tongue - which part?, the teeth (rieslings in particular ), the gums, the palate of the mouth and so on. Good to catch up with the most of the regulators at this event. Top stuff! A lot more hits than misses ( Czech riesling and the 04 Petaluma come to mind) but it was great to calibrate the palate for the 14' vintage. Pikes, Wilson vineyard, some other regulars - riesling freak, bests et al stood out ...
