Did you get Burges' ones as well? I thought I was picking up yours and his Zaltos tomorrow? Re: Right, what are we/you drinking now .. tonight
Wow, these wines were amazing. Having decided the theme, I wondered for a (brief) moment if 2 RP100 wines would be an overkill – if our palates would be completely shot to pieces after the first glass. Fortunately the moment passed very quickly. We ended up finishing both bottles (with a few ...

Yes, the Centenary was very similar to the one we had at Cafe Lyon ... good to know there wasn't much variation between bottles.
Enjoy the Wendouree offline tonight.
Hope to join you guys at the next one.

indeed, the gods were kind and the corks delivered as expected. A bit worse for wear, but held the seal for these many years. That JR was amazing. Kept improving in the glass (both bottles were not decanted – slow-ox being the chosen option for these old wines). It had a fairly strong nose fo...

That's interesting - never tried VP with Indian food ...
A very good match. Needs to be young and fruity. Mature VP's are best as contemplation wines (or cheese if one must).
Any suggestions?

Sam has made the booking so I assume it’s in his name. At 7pm for around 12 persons (unless he’s revised it down recently).
We’ll ask for the Pol Roger 2002 in case we get too thirsty and can’t wait to get started
