Foggo in McLaren Vale have ~100yo shiraz vines, and make a shiraz sourced exclusively from that vineyard. Their Grenache vines are a few years younger (~90yo?) whilst their Cab vines are relative pups at ~50yo.

as for SA rieslings, I prefer 2011 and 2013 over 2012. Much more complexity and delicacy.

shhh, telling a business that they have the best QPR around is tantamount to telling them they are undercharging for their produce

I'd go with a vermentino, a marsanne or a rousanne (or primo estate's colombard for that matter). Sav blanc can work, but it can also go horrible wrong if the aromatics end up clashing with the basil.
