Gavin has kindly allowed us to promote our dinners in Melbourne and Sydney to celebrate the upcoming release of the 2007 Blue Poles Allouran. The dinners provide everyone with the opportunity to taste the history of our vineyard in context with the spiritual home of our wines, France. I'll be there to host the nights and provide the answers to any questions that might pop into your heads

Our vineyard’s aim has always been to make wine with character, a sense of place, and able to be enjoyed with food and friends on any occasion – and with these objectives now being met, it seemed appropriate that we should offer a series of events to promote these ideals.
We have been very fortunate to have been able to secure bookings for these dinners at:
10 Sept 2009 - Melbourne, Moretons Brasserie – 166 Rathdowne St, Carlton
17 Sept 2009 - Sydney, fix st james – 111 Elizabeth St, Sydney
Both restaurants will be sitting down with the wines and pairing them with the most seasonal dishes that will not only match the weight and style of the wines but will enhance the flavours and make every course a special event. All food and wine is included for $95 per person.
There will be four courses prepared, and the wine pairings for the evening are as below:
Course 1: 2009 Blue Poles Viognier & 2007 Pascal Jolivet, Sancerre
Course 2: 2005/2006 Blue Poles Allouran & 2003 Canon de Brem, Canon Fronsac
Course 3: 2007 Blue Poles Allouran & 2005 Grand Pontet, St-Emilion
Course 4: 2007 Blue Poles Reserve Merlot & 2004 La Fleur de Bouard, Lalande de Pomerol
Both of the meals will be completed with a cheese board.
Numbers to this event are strictly limited – only 30 patrons are able to be comfortably seated at the venues and as such is our maximum on the two nights. Log onto our website at www.bluepolesvineyard.com.au and follow the links at "Wine Dinner".
We hope that you are able to make one of the nights - If you can't but would like to taste the wines prior to the meal, all will be available for tasting at the respective restaurants from 5pm.
Cheers
Mark G
ps As Gavin and Auswine is Adelaide based, if there are a core of folk interested in attending an event like this in the city of churches contact us and we'll see if it is possible. All the best.
