Cheers craig
I had you down for 50% Coonawarra, 35% Clare!!
Ha ha Mike, certainly not 35% Clare, but could be 75% Coonawarra   Plenty of Clare, Barossa, MV, LC, a bit of Adelaide hills
Fair bit of Vic, some MR, some Hunter...too much bloody Riesling...had a 16 Hanlin Hill today...beautiful.

Still no amount of JR will ever match all the wonderful Champagne you have.

Cheers
Craig

100% Australia.
Loads of Barossa/Eden Valley and McLaren Vale shiraz, and Hunter semillon.
A few WA cabs, Vic shiraz and Sparkling shiraz.
I dont have Cellartracker.
When not drinking a fine red, I'm a cardboard claret man!

Mahmoud Ali wrote:Regarding South Africa, from what I've tasted over the years, I wouldn't have thought they were generally akin to Australian wines. Among my friends, when blind tasting, the common refrain was that if one were unsure whether to go new or old world then opt for South Africa. In my book South Africa is not a substitute for Austrralia.

My two cents ................... Mahmoud.
I wonder if perception & practise might differ here? This is a really interesting observation, and certainly based on tastings alone I would agree with you. But I wonder if that distinction exists as clearly in consumer's awareness of the products?

Agreed, the average consumer would likely assume that they are both new world expressions.
