2 x 2010 Cecile Tremblay Chapelle Chambertin
3 x 2012 Cecile Tremblay Chambolle Musigny Les Feusselottes (one for me; 2 for my mate in HK)

This domaine is my favourite red burgundy producer after Rousseau and Roumier so I can't resist.
Been on my radar
You tried domaine mugneret gibourg?
Very perfumed
A group of five us managed to access cellar tastings at Cecile Tremblay and Mugneret-Gibourg in 2014. We were unanimous in preferring the wines (all in barrel - would have been 2013 vintage) of Cecile Tremblay and as a result I have not bought the Mugneret-Gibourg wines. The wines tasted in barrel at Mugneret-Gibourg were good and the sisters are welcoming hosts. They have a mouldy cellar off to the side of the tasting cellar which is not used but if I recall the winemaker sister Marie-Christine saying it dated from the 1700s! My only real experience of this domaine other than this tasting was a couple wines made by their father Georges, consumed in restaurants in France in the 1980s.

Another case of Swings and Roundabouts 2016 Margaret River Chardonnay and a case of Leconfield 2015 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon sent directly to Sydney for Xmas consumption. Both to be shared with a friend there. Certainly beats lugging it all the way from Adelaide.

2 x 2015 Wynns Black Label Cab (I had to see what all the fuss is about)
1 x 2009 Leo Buring Leonay (DWM18)
3 x 2001 Domain A Cab - Be interesting to see what this is like
2 x 2013 Peccavi Cab Sav from MR. Never had one before and thought I would give it a crack.

That looks mouth watering. Never saw a bottle here in Canada nor had one in Australia, but by all accounts a very good wine. From what I gather it's a keeper. Are you planning on keeping or opening?

Mahmoud.

Im a bit the same. Never had one, and they dont come up that often, so a bit hard to find. Thankfully these look in pristine condition. Perfect fill levels, no sign of weeping or stains.
I will crack one soon which will give me an indication about what to do with the other two i have left :D

I didn't know that the basket press was released yet? You on a stonewaller membership?
Yes, finally made it on to the list last year.

try any Mugneret-Gibourg wine from 2002 and you might change your mind. They absolutely hit a home run that vintage, incredible wines. For whatever reason, not as good since then. The 2005's are just too tannic and I think those tannins will outlast the fruit (as may be the case with many wines from that vintage)

Have you tried the '12 Contours yet? How is it compared to the '11?
Not yet, but will look at one over the weekend.

Cheers

Please report back. Thanks.
2012 Pewsey Contours
I have never had a Riesling like this...the delicacy and finesse is just incredible, it almost blows over the tongue like a gentle breeze. virtually no acid at the this stage, just primary fruit and layers of it. Will be a very very long lived version..beautiful and this is what makes this variety so exciting, the differences in these wines!
Went and got 6 more off the back of this.
Cheers

Sean, its a really odd description I admit, but the wine is so fine at present that it just glides over the palate, its absolutely effortless to drink, yet the complexity is already there. What is missing is the laser like acidity of so many other CV and EV Rieslings, potentially making it such an easy and mellow experience right now. The Rockford Rieslings that I had today were completely different.

Craig, Swirler not Sean here. Sounds just like my style of riesling.Acid should be definitely there, but it shouldn't dominate IMO.
