Also happy with this. I have got 04 & 05 of th Tally but have been resisting opening either yet based on the straight 04 Balnaves I have in the cellar.

The wines look great guys.
Had the 04 Tally at Matteo's on Melb recently, was drinking beautifully> Had more of the '05 on Coonawarra a couple of weeks ago than all of the Tally I've had before and likewise, drinking very nicely. Both still young, great fruit, tannins, good structure, easy to justify anther ten years wait (hard to do, I know)
Hi Guys - after much deliberation and negotiation I am going to have to pull out. It is my sister in laws wedding the day after the offline and just could not get the leave pass (especially as i am travelling away from home with work this week). Bit gutted as the line up is sounding fantastic and was really looking forward to it. I was going to bring a Cape Mentelle 2007 Cab Sav FWIW. Hope you guys have a tops night !!
Menu just came in - We are now down to 14 so need to find an additional 2 people. We won't re-arrange tables at this stage as we are currently 7 on each.

so we are down to 13 most likely now I could bring the missus along if we are going to try to get it back to 16, but wondering if its likely we could end up with 12 and possibly be back to a single table?
Let's just see how it ends up on Friday, and adapt to however many we have. We can always do a table of 7 and one of 6, with the pour size adjusted for 13 people so everyone gets a bit of everything, or do what we did last time, hey it'll be fine and I doubt SPN will have any issues with a few people less. If bobthebuilderswife is keen to come along, makes 2 of 7, lets see if anything else comes up for any others in the meantime? (Either extras or withdrawals)

Personally I would prefer 7 and 6/7 than one big table, it just gets too large once you are past 10 at a table
For some points of difference on Table Sav, I'll bring a Cab Sauv from Orange (Canobolas Smith Reserve 2004) and a (hopefully not too ripe or oaky) Bordeaux (Chateau des Graviers Margaux 2009).
I'm probably more likely going now than not...but it is really kinda touch and go..sorry, generally I'm a bit more sure of my schedule but this is a bit of an unusual case...
FWIW I'm fine with 13 on a table if that's what it works out to be... actually I like larger tables, hear more varying sub-conversations and more widely-varied opinions. Can just think of it as 2 tables next to each other, and insert your own mental barrier if that's an issue.
Anyway... no problem with either approach (split or not).
On an unrelated note, i'm bringing a 1991 Stonyridge Larose.
For a white... uhh, here's what my white wine was going to be:

I'll see what else I have at hand without needing to go back to storage... *sigh*

Fantastic stuff.
I was so pissed with myself after traveling all the way from Bondi, I nearly sat down and drank the whole bottle by myself with a meal for one. Only reason I didn't was I wasn't sure what I had in the garage fridge to replace the Pontet Canet.
