Brisbane Offline 25 Oct 2024 - e'cco bistro

Five regular offliners (Rens, Nick, Ian, Gerry and me) have been getting together in Brisbane for 13 years now (some of us a few years more). With our partners it’s a good-sized wine dinner group. Generous souls with decent cellars, but no showing off. Anyway, we got together again on Friday night. ...

Vale Mychurch. I never met him, but his posts suggest that he approached wine and people with an open heart.

Very sad for him and his loved ones.

Will open something special this weekend.

12 x 2021 Claymore Bitter Sweet Symphony Cabernet Claymore are producing some excellent wines. I am a fan of the London Calling Cab/Malbec with its medium bodied/mid-weight palate. The Dark Side of the Moon Shiraz is a regular mid-weeker at our house. The 2021 and the new 2022 release are very good...

Michael, Seppelts website cheaper than Cellardoorco. I think if you join Seppelts you get a welcome monetary offer...at that's what I got when I got some very cheap Show Reserve SS. You can always ring Cellardoorco and they will match, as after all it's all TWE. Cheers Craig Thanks Craig. With a $2...

Received the Seppelts email yesterday, will look at the 24 Drumborg Riesling and 22 St Peters. I was fortunate to pick up a few bottles of 2022 Mount Ida in a couple of TWE mystery packs. Cheers Craig Can I ask whether the Drumborg is at the same price via email as at CellarDoor.Co? TIA. Cheers Mic...

My "cellar" was an eight level sculpted pine rack in the dining room! That style of wine rack was ubiquitous at the time and it was the height of sophistication   Had one of those in the early 90s in Brisbane. The start of my cellar. A number of years overseas and I came back to...

2022 Bondar Voilet Hour Shiraz. This is fantastic, lovely mixed spice, savoury with a lick of sweetness. Wave after wave of dark fruits and fine fine tannins. Andre Bondar has done really well here.
