Yes i think that’s the way to go. Can you elaborate on the heat coming in via a concrete slab? I had assumed (there was my mistake) this would be fairly stable.

Simply put there is nothing wrong with not liking older wines.
Your palette will evolve over time as you drink and taste more wines and more widely.
Drink what you like and you may find in time that some of the older wines make more sense.

We used Dominique Portet Sparkling Rose for my brothers wedding earlier this year - we bought quite a bit (direct fro mthe winery) and they did it for about $25p/b

Interesting topic. I usually buy dozens but have in the past year started buying 6's and on occasion 3's to allow my wine buying dollar to go further especially with exy burgs/bords …. also to encourage more drinking and less buying…i dont know why but I struggle to break the symmetry of...
