Duty free at Hong Kong airport for wine. Whats it like?
I will be stopping over at Hong Kong for about 2 hours - want to purchase about 4-5 bottles for my trip - can anyone tell me what the duty free stores are like in terms of price or the range of wines?

Re: The absurdity of the Coles mob
Same here - when I walk into (many) of the independent stores I am ignored most of the time (they don't even acknowledge I am there), but when I walk into my local Dan Murphy's the 'fine wine' staff greet me on a first name basis. So while I am all for supporting independents over the big boys, I ha...

Re: Trying to use Langtons for the first time.... Any advice
Is there a better place than Langtons for back vintages? I am quite new to this game... I've recently developed a taste for nice aged wines but since my cellar is very new (2-3 years) and very small (around 60 bottles) I have no aged wines sans the DM cellar release stuff which I don't find all that...

Trying to use Langtons for the first time.... Any advice?
Hi guys, I have never used langtons exchange before but the prices (after factoring in the 15% buyer premium) looks decent.
So decided to take the plunge but just wondering whether there is anything I should keep in mind before I start buying
Thank you

They go as far as using google??? What if you got them on special? Would they then call you a liar and charge you the tax on the full price??

Re: Custom labels or clean skins for Japan.
Being Korean and a wine lover, I have had the pleasure of mixing fatty beef (love that marbling!!) and Australian reds. The combination so far that I have found very satisfying was a nice GSM (such as a Teusner Joshua or a Penfolds Bin 138) or Shiraz's such as a Wynns white label or Torbreck Woodcut...

Apparently the 09 Beajolais are heavier and have more tannins - in which case i dont see why you'd buy a beajolais - just buy a nice aussie/NZ Pinot
