Well opened this one Last night and was as I thought after reading what I find on the Internet.
Deep Red with slight bricking on the Rim, not much fruit and some leather characters on the nose,Palate lacking fruit.

couple of years to Late.

The Show Reserve Label has been Discounted alot here in Nz and I have brought a few to put away. So has the quality changed over the whole Rosemount Range or just the Balmoral

Was at Woolworths at lunch and the bin 28,128,138 are still at 17.99 and the 407 is 23.99 has been that way for about ten days now. Brought the 138 as I have never had tryed it.
Not expecting to much going off others tasting notes, but thought I sould give it a crack at that Price.

04 Bruno Giacosa Barbera d'Alba.
Purple with a violet rim, Fresh young wine showing good Fruit, Medium weight on the palete, First experience with this variety and won't be the last. $39 Nzd.

05 Mt Diffculty Pinot Noir
Ruby red, Good fruit and acidity. Very nice $38 Nzd.

04 Mills Reef melot melbec, quite sweet and jammy but drinkable.

2000 Leasingham Bin 56 Cabernet Malbec. Decantered for one hour, Still had good Colour but no fruit and like vinegar. Thanks for your replys. I have never left a Bottle for more than two days once opened and won't in the future as in this case the fruit has dissapeared.
Those Vacuum tools do look like a good idea for keeping the wine fresh once opened.

Simple Question for some.

How long does a bottle of Red last once opened? The reason I ask I opened a bottle on thursday and had a glass and put the cork back in it. Got called away for the weekend and have just got back to it. I'm sure different things have to be taken into account so I'll give you the bottle as an Example....

99 St Halletts Barossa Cab Sav. Reasonbly new to wine, Need help with this one. Found this while out of town, Had $7.00 off down to $19.95 nzd. Thought it would be worth a go. This wine had never been laid down as the cork was very dry and broke in half on the way out but got it all out Sucessfully ...

I have a couple of these at home. Its a weird one, In nz it retails for around $30 but I have never paid more than $16 it always seems to be on special. Maybe not worth in Price.

01 Leasingham Cabernet Malbec.

I see this is on special at the local wine shop $20 NZ , Sounds like a bit of a classic auzzie Blend, Is worth putting away for few years or spend my money elsewhere.
