Worth putting in the cellar.

Post by JONZIE »

01 Leasingham Cabernet Malbec.

I see this is on special at the local wine shop $20 NZ , Sounds like a bit of a classic auzzie Blend, Is worth putting away for few years or spend my money elsewhere.

Cheers.

Sounds like a bargain. NZ$20 is like AUS $4.95 right???

Nah, just jokin'.

It's about A$15-$16 I think so it is a good price.

It is a bit of a mid range, mid-term cellar classic.

Only thing is I think the 02 is generally held in higher regard than the 01 but at the price the 01 is still a good bet.

They've probably got the Bin 61 too if they've got the Bin 56. Get 6 of each for the next 8-10 years.

Get the 02 if you can but there is nothing wrong with the 01.

For this particular label the 01 is probably a 8.5/10 and the 02 is a 9/10.
