Re: 2003 F'Able Shiraz

Hi Everyone, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me in my quest to locate some 2003 F'Able Shiraz. My wife and I were recently given a couple of bottles of this wine and we were very impressed. I recently purchased a case of Vinecreat 2001 Shiraz; however I thought the F'Able was better. Cheer...

F'Able - yes it does have that ring to it.

However, a Langtons Catalogue of Nov 2006 has the entry:

F'ABLE, Vintage 2002
Reserve Shiraz, Barossa Valley
6 Bottles per bottle $20-30

See: http://admin.langtons.com.au/uploads/catalogue/S264.doc

So it does exist. I've never heard of it however.

Wood Park Meadow Creek Chardonnay 2005: Lovely pale yellow, with a tinge of green in the glass. Obvious spiced notes of french oak with melon and lemon butter on the nose. The palate is full with a slight sweetness from the fruit and nuttiness from the oak. Very clean and fresh finish with tight ac...

I have also had 17% alc wines that were awesomely structured powerful and delicious, with no hint of alc on the nose or palate. Seriously, please give me an example. I have enjoyed many 17% alc wines but I have never been able to say in my tasting note that it had no hint of alcohol on the nose or ...

There is one thing that irks me regarding alc and that is the recent (say last 3 years) where it has become the 'thing' to state the alc in tasting notes, as if its now a predominant factor that you should assess even before you taste a wine. There are some wine writers today who seem to write their...

Try places like Summit Estate, Ravensworth, Symphony Hill, Golden Grove, Ballendean. The big problem with Granite Belt wineries is that there are very few qualified winemakers actually making the wines - last count there were 4-5 of them only. Those wineries that have one are making good wines, some...

Just a few points that may or may not be relevant: Parker promotion of Aussie wines severly distorted the development of some of the export based wineries and skewed the views of those who wanted to be part of the game. Some US importers, one in particular, are obviously mercenary and show little or...

Guys,
What's with the surge in membership? It appears that since 11th Sept 2008 there have been 582 new members - in 6 days??? Prior to that membership had got to 1415, but it took 5 years. Some of these 'new members' have obviously generated names.

Just asking!

I dont want to get involved in the personal nature of the last few posts but I have to agree with the Red Bigot in at least one respect and that is that the higher alcohol content of red wines does actually do more to 'sooth and blend well with' the heat of hot Thai food. I spend some time in Thaila...

I just opened a bottle of Taylors Promised Land Shiraz Cabernet 2005, won a bunch of gold awards in several shows ..SNIP.. i also have a question. will the wine change with vintages? such as in 2002, they will add different things (plum, black cherry, etc.) into it than say in 2005? as in, will the...

And that is what w...
