I have had one, with the type-written label. I'm not 100% sure of provenance, but I found it to be dominated by spirit - of reasonable quality nonetheless.

Waiting until the next vintage for fulfilment might be an option - if he was sold out, it may be that he simply doesn't have the wine to replace? Shame about the lack of communication though.

I note that Bress are currently offering a vertical of 2018, 2020, and 2022 at a reduced price.

Pity about the Quinta do Noval - I had a 1995 a couple of months back that I rated very highly indeed.

Great recommendations above. As a point of difference from the new style of finer-boned Grenache wines, you may also want to try a Greenock Creek Cornerstone. This is the full-bodied, full-bore old style - or used to be!

Yeah - I think it happened on the Japan end, surprisingly. The bottle was in the centre of the case which had cardboard stuffed in about half of the empty slots - a last minute repack in BNE airport before check in. I opened the box expecting worse, and TBH was relieved to find it was just the one.....
