Very tight on the nose, opened up with bottle warmth, big creamy mouthful but tight citrus fruits coming through. Great acid backbone that will make the wine more enjoyable in 1 to 2 years to come. I find this more open and fruit forward than the Voyager estate. Still prefer the Voyager for its overall mineral tightness but great creamy mouthful with the Mentelle.

Are you comparing the 2007 CM with the 2007 Voyager? I didn't realise that had been released yet, having only tried the 2006 as a 'new release' about 3 months ago. 2007 produced quite different wines to the very cool 2006 vintage.
