"new private message has arrived"

been getting a few of these emails in the last few weeks - but when I log on, there's nothing there - anyone else getting the same thing??

I had one the other day and there was a message in my Inbox.

No longer there now though (did one of the Moderators remove it I wonder...)

Gavin is the only one who can remove a spamming user and associated PMs, so either be patient until he gets to it, delete it yourself or send him an email.

I suspect there may be a patch or add-on to stop this, it doesn"t seem to happen on the other forums using this software?

Unfortunately the 'private messages' seem to have been placed by a
spammer.

Sigh

I have deleted and banned the spammer, which will immediately remove the spam from your inbox.
