If my eyes didn't deceive me, I am sure a billboard I spied for Cockatoo Ridge had a picture of a girl with the tag line...
She like a Cockatoo
Funny stuff, and I do remember it, so I suppose as an advertising device it has done its job. Can't see how it will help sell more Cockatoo Ridge though.
Cockatoo Ridge ads
I saw a few months ago Erin McNaught was going to be the new face of Cockatoo Ridge to ruffle a few feathers... so, why is her nickname McNaughty?

Apparently she is not too impressed with the campaign now!
According to MSN;
Former Miss Universe Australia Erin McNaught is not happy about having her face plastered over a huge billboards that displays "She loves a Cockatoo".
The 25-year-old model and actress, due to make a guest appearance in Neighbours this month, is the new face of wine label Cockatoo Ridge.
She claims she had been unaware of the "suggestive" manner in which she would be portrayed on billboards, magazines, newspapers and liquor stores on Australia's east coast.
"I wasn't thrilled with what that line was implying," Ms McNaught was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph.
Other slogans that accompany shots of McNaught in the ad campaign include "McNaughty but nice" and "Who's a cheeky girl then".
She said those displays were "in good fun" but the double meaning of cockatoo was "a bit rude".
Ms McNaught claimed she had asked the company not to use that slogan, but they had already been printed.
The South Australian based winery  which promotes its wine as a "cheeky label based on the Australian sulphur crested cockatoo" on its website  said sales have been up since the campaign began.

Hmm, if you think that's bad, Cockatoo Ridge advertised quite heavily in the gay press over Mardi Gras with a very similar slant. Except it had pictures of guys with the line "he likes a cockatoo" and pictures of girls with "It's the only cock she needs"
Personally I thought it was pretty off rather than funny and I certainly didn't rush out and buy any and don't know anyone that did. It's great to target specific markets but...
