Hi there,

Would anyone know if the Ray Jordan Guide to WA Wines 08 is out yet?

I've searched the net and cannot seem to find any information to indicate if it has been released or when it is due.

We purchased it last year from a bookshop in Perth (Sydney didnt seem to stock it)...i rang the same Perth bookshop and they too didn't know.

Can anyone help?

I bought one edition of this and found his notes to be so uncritical as to be worthless. A shame as I'm an unashamed fan of WA wines. Am I missing something?

I picked up the 2005 book for a dollar at the newsagent at the Perth Airport last week if that is any help

Had a few gold books out for $2 bucks too but I thought that was still too expensive.

You can get a copy of Ray's latest Wine Guide through his publishers WA Newspapers - phone Perth 08 9482 3111. It costs $28 and $4 for postage. I have just ordered one.

His previous guides were fairly comprehensive giving a good overview of the main WA producers. There are however quite a few smaller producers that do not register on his radar. For those vignerons you will need to go VineFinding -- just google vinefinders for more info
