Deep garnet in color, a slight hint of a shift toward rust; nose is cedar, some tobacco, sage, touch of mint; nicely balanced, more red-ish fruits than black, a touch of sweetness countered by hints of savory earth; tannins are still noticeable, though fine and silky, and there is a nice kick of acidity on the medium finish, with the tannins turning a big chalky. Would not stand out like a sore thumb in a Bordeaux tasting. I'd guess that this is somewhere in the first third of its drinking window. Very pleasant drinking, 90/100 tonight.
