A couple of midweek wines

Post by peterk »

A bit of rain here in Brisbane cooled things down enough to have a few reds. A bad midweek start with a 98 Cyril Henschke showing a muted nose and dull flavour profile, A completely buggered 93 pennies Kalimna both sink jobs. A 94 Graveyard showed a beautifull nose and subtle flavours.
A good wine which will hold for a while.
A 02 Three Hills Charles Andras a wine of which I know nothing about, showed very ripe sweet fruit, good balance long length a smart wine.
1904 Seppelts port intense nose fruitcake-Plum pudding, rancio, very concentrated flavours long length a excellent wine.
Go the rain
Cheers

Peter, this one impressed enough for Ric and I to buy some @ $36 CD. They gave us an extra bottle to take away, we thoroughly enjoyed it with a meal, the smallish amounts of malbec and merlot in the blend certainly works for complexity.
Cheers
Brian
Life's too short to drink white wine and red wine is better for you too! :-)
