Today we had Marquis Phillips 9 Sgiraz with Indian spiced chicken
(1 day sitting in Indian Spices with Chinese roast hot pepper oil),
Italian hot peppers stuffed with prociuotto and cheese,
Israeli hot pickles
and couldn't think of any wine which would be better pairing for all this spicy food.....

Serge, even though you say you have never been to Australia, you seem to have a big dose of that common Oz trait - stirring!
I'm feeling mellow about not having to go to work on a Monday morning, so I won't fan the flames by agreeing with you.

RedBigot, I never been to but...the best man on my wedding is 100% Aussie
Does it count? I learned the art of stirring pot from him...

Yeah, gotta agree here. A bigger shiraz and Indian seems to go well. GSM blends work a treat too: the 01 Nine Popes was a hit the other week with an indian banquet, the 03 Plexus was also good, but on the same night the 03 Chalambar was a failure.
I've never been a fan of any of Spary Marquis wines, but I suspect they will work well this way,
cheers
Andrew

I get them in the can, they are in brine with LOTS of hot red pepper in it, quite mouth burning experience, if you like this sort of things.
