TN: Lawson's Dry Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2001

Post by KMP »

Lawson's Dry Hills Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2001 (Screwcap) $9.99USD
Fresh and vibrant for a three year old with prominent herbaceous, citrus and pineapple notes. Mouth filling, almost fat, with a softness across the palate backed up by bright acidity. Excellent retronasal and a long finish. The wine developed an attractive diesel flavor. Excellent value. 2, 2, 4.0, 10.2 = 18.2, 13% alcohol. Tasted November 21

I guess screwcaps do keep sauv blancs fresh!

One of my fave S/B fr the land of the long white cloud. It's well rounded, not angular becos a % of it are barrel aged in the tradition of "Fume Blanc" fr the Loire Valley.
