I couldn't help but think what fun it would be if I were able to long-on as the apparently earstwhile Mr. Salmon.

You could think up all sorts of fantastic tales - exotic wines at equally exotic prices, wonderful reviews and the inside nod.

Think of the traps you could set for TORB; LOL.

Just a quiet moment of contemplation after dinner.

Whilst here, why not a recent memory:

Batch of '89 Filhot recently (big Sauternes fan): very fine wine in the Climens lighter, floral style. Full tropical fruit notes with wonderfully honeyed botrytis. Full long aftertaste. Excellent mouthfeel. Good acid, firm, without it having any Seville orange bitterness. This is similar in style to the Tirecul stable, Semillon based. This wine would match savoury food.
