TN: Xanadu Chardonnay 2018

Post by Waiters Friend »

G'day

This is the standard model with the black label, not the Reserve or Stevens Road.

Deep yellow in colour, heading towards golden. A nose of toasted grains, lemon butter, yellow peaches and cedar. The palate shows more creamy lemon butter, ripe peaches and some grilled nuts, but this is offset by sufficient freshening acid, so the wine is not overly textural or heavy, and finishes quite clean. Medium length.

Depending on how aged you like your chardonnay, this is in good shape (for my tastes anyway). There's a good balance of primary fruit and developed character.

Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
