I think most SA winemakers & regions are going to be very happy with the quality of the vintage.
Well managed vineyards & terrior will important factors of the success/quality. These vineyards/producers should fair well considering the dry conditions.
Quantity will likely be down on average due to the dry, warm growing season, plus some regions copped an early frost. Riverland copped some storms and wiped out some crops. Given how dry its been, very little disease pressure to report.
Close to home. Clare was an early vintage. Most wineries were done receiving fruit before the end of march.
Notably, Clare whites in particular Riesling looking stunning. Shiraz loves warm dry years, hearing great reports from Clare and the Barossa - there will be some great examples produced with great fruit and colour concentration, similar to 2008.
