TN: McHenry Hohnen Hazel's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Rich purple in colour. Powerful nose of blackcurrant, mulberry, graphite, violets and tobacco. Still quite primary in terms of the fruits. The palate is equally generous, with the berry fruits washing over the tongue. Tannins are a little grippy, but in the background, and acid is also playing a supporting role. Long finish, and at 8 years of age, is possibly at or near its peak. Delicious and satisfying.
