Glenlee is the single vineyard in Central Otago from which this wine is sourced.
Ruby red in colour, and translucent. Complex nose with dark cherries, a touch of strawberry, and lots of spicy and savoury characters with apparent stalks / stems. The palate is velvety, with light integrated tannins, good supporting acid and fruits sitting delicately on top. Surprisingly long finish given the light / medium body of the wine, which fans out after swallowing.
I've tried a dozen pinots this week, and this stands out. Excellent wine.
Cheers
Allan

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.

Funnily enough I opened this just a couple of weeks ago for our weekly tasting group, on the basis that most of the Central Otago wines we open are from Bannockburn, Lowburn and Bendigo, with very few from Gibbston (noting most of Gibbston Valley Winery’s wines are from Bendigo), and that this is a very good and typical example of the Gibbston subregion.
It was very well received, with my impression being consistent with your note.
Cheers
