Predominantly Sangiovese (as you would expect). Purple red in colour – darker than expected. Lots of black and sour cherries on the nose – a surprising amount of fruit sweetness for its age. There’s also plums, some chocolate, and dried herbs. Medium finish only (no complaints there!).
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this held up given its age (and this bodes well for the younger bottles in the cellar).

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
