TN: Abbazia Monte Oliveto Vernaccia Di San Gimignano 2017

A grape variety I haven't tried before, from a Tuscan town I would love to revisit.

Pale straw / yellow. Pear and citrus with a touch of brine and minerality. Palate has high acid, with the brine character apparent again, over the fresh cut (and slightly tart) pear. The closest wine I can think of is a Galician Albarino

Initial thoughts are that this would be a good food wine, perhaps seafood, however, the more I tried the wine, I found it refreshing in a mouth-watering way. A slightly savoury pool-side summer wine, perhaps?

Cheers

Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
