So far:

2013 Christopher Tynan Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Meleagris Gallopavo Vineyard (2 bottles)
Bought purely based on the wine’s scarcity (only 70 cases made), Robert Parker’s review and corresponding 100-point score. The 100 points aside, I have to say, it was in my opinion one of the most “compelling” reviews Bob has ever written on any Napa Cabernet. If ever a wine critic’s description convinced me to buy a $200+ wine, this one sure did. I hence simply had to find a way of getting hold of it. I had the bottles shipped to a friend in San Francisco who flew out to Sydney short after.
...Did I mention how much I love Napa Cabernet!

haha, I even noticed those Bernstein's from up here!!! Thought about bidding, but never got around to it.
very smart buying, he is going to increase his prices quite dramatically, and fair enough too... even though a negoce, his parcels are superb and his almost unparalleled talent ensures wines of the absolute highest quality. I wasn't a big fan of his 09 and, to a lesser extent, 2010 stuff, but apart from those two he has been in spectacular form.
forget all the BS about Leroux being the next Jayer, this guy has more talent in his little toe. (although I like Leroux's wines hehe)

Have been letting the side down recently, but did pick up a typically eclectic mix from a local wine merchant yesterday. From memory (would have to check vintages)
Ch Robert Pomerol
Magnum of 2012 Ch Lamartine Cahors
Martin Codax Cuatro Pasos Bierzo
2003 Francois Pinon Vouvray Moelleux (but I forgot to grab some of their very interesting Vouvray brut)
a cheap Lalande de Pomerol and a German Riesling Kabinett with a little age on it
Ch Wagenbourg Grand Cru Gewurz from Alsace (there's is a sensibly restrained alcohol style)
and something else I can't recall at the moment. Will find out when I put them away and into CT

Thanks Felix.

I’ve been a regular buyer of his from the 2008 vintage after going to dinner with the whole range on show. I really liked most of his reds, not so much his whites.

Not sure if anyone imports these in Australia any more.

Cheers Con.

Tahbilk Marsanne 2011. Price too good to pass up and wanted some with bottle age.
Mount Mary Chardonnay. My chardonnay stocks need major bolstering.
Mount Mary Triolet. Want to get some white Bordeaux and need a counterpoint.

6 x Giacomo Conterno CF Barolo 2009.

I don't usually backfill from 2009. But this has declassifed Monfortino material in it and Conterno is skyrocketing. It's 30% chaeper than the current release!

Hmm still waiting for this one and the store is refusing to take my calls or respond to emails... They have a lady who answers the phone and just says "all orders will ship by Christmas" but is unable to see any detail on my order or put me through to anybody else in the company.

Apparently they were still taking orders for xmas delivery until Sunday night even though they haven't managed to ship orders such as mine from 3 weeks ago yet... All a bit concerning.

The CDLR is under $400 here in NZ but quantities are small and allocated. Honestly I would wait on the 2005 myself.

That is cheap.
I paid $430 for the 14, a couple of places were asking about $600.
I will consider the 15's if I get any offered to me this year but have resisted all the 15's so far.

Agree with Brodie, I'd hold on to the 05 for while yet.

Cheers Con.

6 x Pio Cesare Ornato Barolo 2013

Not always my style though it's more settled and wound back of late. I also believe that except in extreme cases, Barolo can fair well in the long term if well crafted in a modern sense. And snapshot forward a decade or two and it will be an intriguing wine- especially if retired in Australia and sharing with shiraz mates.

Not wine, nor alcohol, but 48 bottles of Borea e Rossi Chinotto arrived today from Liguria
borea e rossi chinotto.jpg
Not the typical caramel darkened version made famous by San Pellegrino, this has really vibrant fruit, yet still some bitter grip. I'm told chinotto works well as a replacement for tonic in G&Ts, but I'm not much of a fan of Gin.
