2007 Andreas Schmitges Erdener Treppchen Riesling Auslese 500ml (cork): 7.5% alc. Medium gold. Juicy limes, lychees with a touch of apricot, lemon zest and salted caramel, the crisp, crunchy acidity and chalky texture of the palate keeping it focused with a creamy, refreshing mouthfeel and no sign of cloying sweetness. A brilliant way to end a meal, or to start a meal, or with no meal... it should cellar for a lifetime too, cork permitting.
