Hey chaps,
I don't know why I didn't do something like this before but since the other one has slowed down to a crawl I thought I would put together my aggregated database of wines sold at auction online (from multiple auction houses).
I am charting the average auction price over the last 20 years as well so you can see at a glance the peaks and troughs.
Having trouble plotting the moving average with this crappy MS graphing object so will upgrade and include it later.
I plan to add more statistical data for analysis in when I get a chance but would appreciate some feedback on how it looks and feels at the moment so I can plan my dev time accordingly.

Re: New wine price guide
I think it looks fantastic, well done Mark.
Re: New wine price guide
Mark, thanks so much for this.
I just punched in Wynns John Riddoch and of the 8 or so vintages that I have brought on the second hand market in the last 1-2 years, I think your rating is about a dollar different...well done.
Cheers
Craig

Hey Mark,
This looks great. One suggestion on the graphs though. X Axis should probably start at the low year and progress to the most recent year. As it stands, it feels like you're reading it back to front.

Re: New wine price guide
Great resource! The only weakness, for me, is the fact that I don't know how recent the data is. Take this (rather far fetched) example: If a Grange 1985 last sold for $200 in 1990. That's not telling me much about it's current value.
If there was an indication as to when the last sale occurred and the price realised, it would help one ascertain the relevance of the data.
Great work, though....
