Well after the winery playing ducks and drakes about a potential museum release at some stage...probably 2-3 times the current price i manged to get hold of a half dozen of
Seppelts 2012 Drumborg riesling. Thanks so much to the punters in the March purchases thread who put me on to cellartracker...I have not previously used this, but probably got the last few left in Oz Intresting re the "2012 hype"...buckets of both 2011 and 2013 Drumborg available??? but no 2012!
Oh some 2012 Wilson Polish Hill 2012 rieslings as well to make up a dozen.
6 x 2007 Pierre Peters Les Chetillons. I actually wanted to skip this vintage, but given the likely demand for the 2008 next year, buying previous vintages may stand me in good stead to get some.

Gomersal 2010 Reserve Shiraz, and cracked one last night. Delicious, but not over the top, but great interest and intensity. Thinking of getting some more.

Glad you enjoyed it. I really rate their Shiraz and it's reasonably priced.
Cheers Ian
If you had to choose between drinking great wine or winning Lotto, which would you choose - Red or White?
Had a quick weekend trip in Margaret river, only had a day to visit the wineries and so managed Vasse Felix, Cullen, and Flametree. Cullen is an excellent spot for lunch. Had a glass of their diana madeline over a grazing board.... sublime

Got what I believed to be close to the last of the 2010 BP vintage. Interesting to chat with the chap pouring the Shiraz (picked tuesday just gone and intended for the 2014 basket press shiraz) into open fermenters. He said the basket presses were ready and waiting to do their thing in the coming days.
The smell coming off the skins/open vats was pretty funky indeed. What it's all about
