Melbourne storage...help needed.

Post by simon1980 »

Hi there,

I have to face in to the fact that if I continue buying as much wine as I do, and try to keep in the house, the better half may kick me out! I suppose there are only so many humming wine fridges one lady can take.

Therefore, I am searching for an affordable storage solution, in Melbourne. I will look to initially store 10 cases, but think it is likely to grow to 20 cases over the next couple of years.

I have looked at various storage cellars (usually too expensive...as they are far too big for my 10 cases) and managed cellarage (expensive by bottle, and I don't really need an online list of what I have), and am struggling to decide what to do. I will probably need very little access, collecting a case or two a year.

Does anyone have any advice on what they would do in my situation, and any recommendations on companies who have been good?

Any suggestions are much appreciated, Simon.

G'day,

MacPhees are my storage of choice.

Price seems fair, service is excellent.

Sth Melb location suits fine.

Cheers.

MW Wines in Abbotsford. Only limitation is acess after hours and on weekends - they are open 9am-1pm on Saturdays. 20 case lockers available.

Simon,

I'm currently in Gaurdian in Glen Iris, and they seriously undercut all the other Guardians. I've got about 4 cases worth but need to upgrade.

Would you like to go halves (or percentages)? I'm only storing for nieces and nephews, so I don't need to open it except about twice a year. I've also got some big m/f locks with 2 keys each...

I'll check availability and price anyway - just in case!
