Glass houses, Michael?

I've hosted a Perth offline at my house. However, I am more reminded of when I was travelling to Brisbane, and an offline looked like being on the cards. Lots of build up, lots of maybes, then Daz, Sue and I were the only three to descend on Brents in Toowong. A memorable night regardless, but where were the Brisbanites?

Poor form, indeed. However, I fully appreciate the Blackadder references

Cheers

Allan

Cool Carl please let us know your first couple of wines you find , we will miss you here in Perth as you added a quirky way of dealing with wines , people and of course Rebecca who had her way with you LOL :)

Make sure you come back once you get sick of the weather where you are !

Thanks Michael for your comments and yes Perth needs to show some Enthusium ,REALLY SHOW SOME We live here in a paradise where 2/3rds of the world are envious so lets represent and display this .

Wine club rocks and offlines rock we just dont seem to do many of them

Was going to bring out a couple of special wines to as nothing beats wino's enjoying a good red or 3

Maybe sometime in the future will test the water again

Dazza, if I'm around I'm always keen for a drink.

Wifey still pregnant so will be flying solo, but may be able to drag some lurkers out of the woodwork to help the cause.

Cheers

Happy to consider options. However, the emphasis of many Perth offlines on Chinese or Thai restaurants has put me off. Not that I dislike the cuisine at all, but I find it more difficult to match many red wines and chardonnay with these foods. And the offlines should be a showcase for the wines, with the food in a supporting role, IMHO.

So, depending on the venue, and maybe a theme, I could be interested. The only Perth offline I've been to was at my place :?

Cheers

Allen i know ECCO in freo have half price pizzas and pasta on mon, tue, wed so maybe thats an option :?:

There is also other dishes there to tickle most peoples fancy .

This is if we dodge the asian scene in the way of food , now we normally go asian because the food is always good and its affordable .

Carl and another lady did also sorted out a decent corkage there as well so we werent screwed when it came to the bill /
Correct me if i am wrong Carl and co but that is what i thought , the couple of times i went .

Maybe we could try Vic Park anyone know of a good restaurant in Vic park that can deliver what we are trying to achieve .

OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS < LETS GET SOMETHING ON THE MAP :!: :!: :!: 8)

I MUst say i really enjoy these nights and quite honestly could not care which restaurant we went to because the people are all great and thats what this is all about  .................................BULLSHIT ITS THE WINE
