Seen nothing. Seems like an eternity ago that the 2004 was released. Surely more than a year? Have Voyager Estate held back the 2005?

It does seem like ages between releases. I remember having a bottle of the 04 about 16 months ago

RRP of the 2004 on release was $60 also, a big jump from the prior vintage, but the margins / deals must have been good as many merchants sold it in the low/mid $40's. Unless the margins have changed, I would expect the same sort of deals on the 2005 once it percolates to retail, but there is still a heap of the 2004 to move, so it may be a little while and there may be some final sharp deals to move the 2004.
Cheers

Surprised the 2004 is still readily available. Wasn't it Winestar WOTY a couple of years back? It was also a big pointer as rated by JH and JO.

I think the price has pulled it up a bit, used to be an excellent QPR but at close to $50 it brings a lot of other wines into consideration. Still very good. At high $30's used buy by the dozens at high 40's I would be lucky to buy more than a doz

Was in last year's Big Red Wine Book with 96 points (tasted by CM in Jan09). Will be in this year's with same score (tasted by me in Jan10). It's just going out to general media this week so you will see some soon.
It's better than the 2004 for my tastes. Lighter, fresher and very long. One of their best yet...tho that's the difference between 04 and 05 for MR Cabs. I prefer 05. In short, you can buy with confidence.
