port barrel

hi having just purchaced a port barrel from the keg factory and am doing the water thing .when i put the port in how tight should the bung be put i on top sorry its a 9 ltr

Just firm. Doesn't need to be hammered in super tight or anything. Obviously you don't want it so tight that you can't get it out again. The guy from the Keg Factory told me he only puts his in hand tight. I tap mine in lightly with a hammer. To remove just tap lightly side to side until it comes loose.
