Malcolm, some time when you, or some bright spark here who has the time to explain it, I could get this cash rewards thingy sorted...
I have signed up and get the emails, but pretty clueless on how to operationalise it.
I believe you order through the site itself and then that leads you to the retailer???

Anyway a tenner is pretty good, I paid $8:33c a bottle for the 08, so an increase of 25c a year is not too bad

Cheers
Craig

Hope it's a good 'un.

Actually it was great. Felt that the overall quality was similar to that of a solid Langhe Nebbiolo, however it was mature and less than half the price.

Opened up with plenty of dried rose petal and caramelised balsamic notes, however after a few hours in the decanter we even got some fresh cranberry fruit showing through. Was obviously stored very well and probably had years of life ahead if you so desire.

*Like*
That's great to hear. I rather like the town, though it's on no tourist itinerary. I can however recommend the Ghemme Festival (annually in May IIRC) for the nearest thing to a 'piss-up' that I've experienced in Italy. Rather more drunken than normal for Italians, yet still very good natured. Plus IIRC the wines of every producer available to buy / drink.

Ian

Cappellano Barolo Franco 2011 and 2012 x 6 bottles of each.

Cappellano Barolo Rupestris 2011 and 2012 48 bottles of each.

Magnums 6 each of Rupestris. 2011/2012.

Divide my booty up with a number of friends as they are importer prices thereabouts and I'll keep all the Franco and magnums and a case of the 2012 750ml definately still undecided on the 2011.
