Where can I source the Bremerton Old Adam Shiraz 04???

The place on the web to chat about wine, Australian wines, or any other wines for that matter

Yes I've seen the article, along with the anouncement of a branded store further down.

First of all, thanks to Gavin for the opportunity to reply

I just wanted to clear up a point that has been misconstrued throughout this thread by some, that of the 'pick-up fee'.

For the record, WineStar freights free (and without surcharge) on dozen lots anywhere in Australia. Order less than a dozen the surcharge is $10. Order 5 bottles of less and it is $20. These charges exist on delivery or pickup.

Strathmore Cellars is owned by WineStar and run as a much separate business with different management. There is no cost advantage to pick-up wines from there and less than 1% of orders are though we appreciate for whatever reason, some prefer this to delivery. This will cease to be an option if and when WineStar has its own branded store

The are 3000 pages on the WineStar website, all with a freight link clearly marked at the top of the page outlining the company surcharge policy as well as being printed atop the shopping cart page. Many thousand people are satisfied with the service. Clearly, the person that aired his grievance here is not - as is his prerogative. He made his opinion known to me and I conceded perhaps WineStar was not for him. He took that as 'arrogant' - I thought I was being honest. He used his democratic right and shopped elsewhere. We aren't silly enough to think our model will appeal to every wine shopper in the country.

This situation is different to someone who has been subject to poor service which we can attempt to rectify but the complaint here is about a clearly marked policy which the gentleman knows about before entering into any purchase with us. I don't think the subsequent emails received and the tirade on a public forum is warranted but again, that is his prerogative.

Finally, a thank you to those posts of support, some which I admittedly did not expect but very much appreciate
