Hey Tim
I know it's getting confusing. But I'm not attending mate. Confirmed as much on grapemates yesterday.
I had a shot of making it so asked Dave if there was availability in case I could, but alas no dice.

Do people know what style they might be bringing yet, so I can try and make up some flights and see where we are lacking.

Hi Dave, which restaurant are we going to on this Saturday 16/1? I am likely to bring a Southern Rhone GSM, but I just need to find a decent one from good vintage at reasonable price. Thanks.

Larousse
http://www.larousserestaurant.com.au/I've not been there before, so have no idea of food quality. Trip Advisor is all over the place, some love it, others didn't think much of it.
If you get stuck I can bring an extra bottle of something and we can work something out.

The missus is away this weekend and the baby sitter I had lined up has just pulled out. Hoping it won't be hard to find another but I know a few from the regular agency are on holidays so...fingers crossed. Will let you guys know asap.
Otherwise, still on for the wine you have me down for Dave, grabbed it with a pick order from Wine Ark today.

Thanks Dave,
Since we may be intoxicated to certain extent by the end of dinner, and I am based in North Shore, would sharing a cab to closest railway station (say Hurstville) be an option?

Yeah I'm sure there will be others willing to join a shared cab mse. Grabbing an Uber to Mascot or Central would be simplest I reckon. Just get yourself there and it'll sort itself out.

I'm driving (I spit), so can take 3-4 people home. I usually drop TiggerK off out towards Hornsby so if anyone is between there and the restaurant you are welcome to jump in.
Rockdale station is like a 20min walk from the restaurant (2km or so)

Sorry to do this since there have already been so many withdrawals, but I've not been able to source a suitable babysitter for the hours I need to be able to make it tonight

Happy to help out and make up the numbers if there is a vacancy. This will be my first offline, as my excuses have been dissolved (midweek, too far away etc...).

Thanks Tigger, looking forward to the evening.
Deciding between a 2009 Chateau De Saint Cosme "Valbelle" Gigondas, or 2008 Saint Cosme Cote Rotie and maybe another Australian Rhone blend that I can dig out.
See you at 6.30pm

Hi Guys,
Sorry but I'm not going to be able to make it tonight
I have a nasty dose of gastro and the doc has just put me on a weeks course of medicine with the strict instructions of no alcohol, and bland food.
Sorry for the late notice, I've just been feeling progressively worse all day hence the visit to the doctor this arvo.
Hope you all have a great night!
Cheers, Nic

OK just got the power back on after 2 days.
Thanks Tim for taking up the slack. Still looking forward to this. I've let the restaurant know about the change of numbers. (left a message so I may not be flavour of the month if they still have us down for 8-10)
