Ha ha Mike, certainly not 35% Clare, but could be 75% Coonawarra Plenty of Clare, Barossa, MV, LC, a bit of Adelaide hills
Fair bit of Vic, some MR, some Hunter...too much bloody Riesling...had a 16 Hanlin Hill today...beautiful.

Still no amount of JR will ever match all the wonderful Champagne you have.

I wonder if perception & practise might differ here? This is a really interesting observation, and certainly based on tastings alone I would agree with you. But I wonder if that distinction exists as clearly in consumer's awareness of the products?

Agreed, the average consumer would likely assume that they are both new world expressions.

This is a guesstimate of what I have but I reckon it will be close.
