Most of it is in London and Sydney!

Btw, I’m told by one broker that the 08 Cristal has risen a further 20% in the Uk. I don’t believe it has been released in Australia yet, but based on pricing elsewhere, can’t imagine it will be south of $400 pb.

I’m also hearing DP 2008 is now in US warehouses, but not sure about Oz. My contact at LVMH in Sydney is hard to get hold of. Once again, I hear big price hikes are in order.

phillisc wrote:Hi Michael, first release for this wine I believe, and was released on Monday. Comes from the 65 year old vines previously owned by Wirra Wirra. Had lunch coincidentally with Selina's (Andre's wife, he is the winemaker) parents on Monday down at the winery...Bondar did a little pop up as part of the sea and vines.
Really good to get the inside story on the history of Bondar. The Rayner oozes potential, will be a 10-20 year proposition...it has a great fruit profile, probably not as plush or forward as the violet hour, but really delicate tannins. Only 30 dozen made (1 barrel).
They also have a straight mataro...but neither I or the better half were really impressed, much preferred the Shiraz.

Cheers
Craig
Thanks mate

It's not on the website so I'll get in touch with Selina and see if they'll put a few away fro my next order.

Cheers

Some of my annual allocation purchases;

3 x 2015 Raveneau Montee de Tonnerre
3 x 2015 Raveneau Valmur
4 x 2016 Gonon St Joseph

word is that 2016 is a really good Nth Rhone vintage, not as big as 2015 but more precise and detailed.

Not as much... it’s a good wine, but my tastes run to the drier end of the rizza spectrum, so I didn’t buy any

Alea is like a Pewsey Prima...early drinkers in the 5-7 year window for me.
Unlike 2012 Contours (which I just picked up another case) will be an easy 20 yearer...certainly if the 02 is anything to go by!
Cheers

Jesus Craig, NZ wines are still the height of exotica for me. I am freakin' out with jealousy seeing what's "local" for you :)

Last month it was a mixed case of 2016 Kumeu River Single Vineyard Chardonnays. :D I've certainly tried enough over the last 25 years here to know how to pick the eyes out of the offerings these days. Confident, cocky, opinionated but right lol

I take the view that auction purchases should be attacked sooner rather than later, you never really know what storage was like...

That being said, fill level high into the neck :D

A few cases from the Peter Lehmann futures, EOFY.
2014/15 Cab blends, 2015 Clancy's at $60-80 a dozen, a no brainer.

Good wines for the lads to take to tapas and pizza nights

Hope they told the marketers and media as well Mike...I might have Riesling stocks approaching your Champagne stocks...anyway a few bottles.
Could do with a break.
I might buy a few more 16s and 17s. This year I suspect will see a few more museum releases of the 2012 vintage, ala Mesh and Florita for example.

Cheers craig

Are they still trying to move their ‘17 stocks I wonder.

Nothing more... but surely the 17 stocks walked out the door. There are some superb wines from that vintage
