Interesting lists!
Wynns 24%
Lindemans 8%
Kartnook 7%
Mike Press 5%
Peppertree 4%
Lots of Wynns quaffers in my cellar, as I enjoy them with a few years bottle age.
Lindeman's & Peppertree were all from the Hunter cellar door, funnily enough.

Re: The Top 5 Producers/Wineries in Your Cellar Are...
At a guess as it would take more energy than I've got to get into the cellar and do a stocktake- Classic McLaren LaTestas - maybe 300 bottles, Penfolds, Wynns and Rockford about 100 bottles and Wendouree maybe 50. Probably have 120 bottles of Colonial Estate Wines and probably 60 or so Tahbilk. Maybe 80 bottles of NZ pinot mostly Felton Roads. Used to have 100 ' s of Maglieri Shiraz but I've drunk most of them.
If you can remember what a wine is like the next day you didn't drink enough of it

But that's from a cute little 'cellar' (38 bottles in a fridge). Should I call it a cellarette?

Re: The Top 5 Producers/Wineries in Your Cellar Are...
Lots of the same names cropping up again and again for the Oz wines, so here's something a bit different and likely reflective of geography:
1. Picardy
2. Dukes
3. Bellarmine
4. Brown Hill
5. Tahbilk
Main grapes are rieslings and cab/merlot blends.
Cheers

McWilliam's Mount Pleasant Wines 10.0% - All Sem (Eliz and Anne)
Penfolds 9.2% - Mixture
Taylors 6.0% - all St Andrew Riesling
Seppelt 4.7% - Mixture
Pewsey Vale Vineyard 4.5% - all Riesling
Interesting that my 3 of my top 5 are all white.
I spread the love around on reds a lot more but seem to keep whites in a tight range

Re: The Top 5 Producers/Wineries in Your Cellar Are...
Wendouree - annual allocation for 20 years + that is now a wall a few shelves deep as a family heirloom.
Henschke- reducing rapidly though the low Aussie could see some refilling of Mt Ed/HofG.
Rockford- will up the purchasing with low $AUD.
Penfolds- not to be replaced.
G Mascarello- added to though 2010 vintage has seen these wines elevated to international trophies. Funny, buy a bottle and you need 20 to 30 years to see it's magic in the case of Monprivato, that is a heck of an investment in time and storage costs!
There is so much magical wine I expect to diversify further. That said, with the low $AUD I expect to invest in Australian wines again soon, however, I want the classics of the 80's and 90's that have proven themselves. Unsure of new wave stuff that is just a smooth layer of berry confit.

Here is my top 6. I find it interesting to see the numbers of bottles/average vintage, rather reflective of more recent purchasing habits and illustrative of earlier ones.

Balnaves (cultivating a decent Tally collection)
Hanging Rock
Almost 40% of my cellar is Shiraz, with a fair proportion coming from Heathcote (the rest of it coming almost exclusively from the '12 vintage)

Re: The Top 5 Producers/Wineries in Your Cellar Are...
Well, according to Cellartracker,
Tyrrell's 14.1% Bottles (79) / Average vintage 2008.7
Penfolds 6.6% Bottles (37) / Average vintage 1997.6
Mount Mary 4.8% Bottles (27) / Average vintage 2002.1
Tahbilk 3.7% Bottles (21) / Average vintage 2005.1
Pooley 3.7% Bottles (21) / Average vintage 2009.9
Although it's a close run to...
Wynns Coonawarra Estate 3.6% Bottles (20) / Average vintage 2000.0
Overall, it's
Australia 76.3% Bottles (428) / Average vintage 2005.7
France 8.2% Bottles (46) / Average vintage 2004.1
Germany 7.0% Bottles (39) / Average vintage 2004.5
New Zealand 5.0% Bottles (28) / Average vintage 2008.0
with 10 rogue countries making up the remaining 20-odd bottles.
Had I the space, the whole thing would expand to triple the size; I find that having drunk a given wine, I usually don't really want to drink it again for at least three years.
There's so much to explore out there, I wish I'd started at a considerably younger age...
cheers,
Graeme

Re: The Top 5 Producers/Wineries in Your Cellar Are...
I'm overweight in Coonawarra, but I'm rusted on and not complaining. Haven't updated the ol' Excel spreadsheet
For a while, so can't give you anything fancy like percentages to the first decimal point.
Majors are Wynns and Penfolds, next is daylight
Then reasonable quantities from Katnook, Bowen Estate, Leconfield, Mildara, Seppelt, Lindemans, Romney Park, Majella, Balnaves
Lesser quantities from Redman, Petaluma, Grant Burge, Peter Lehmann, Felton Rd, Hollick
Lots of other bits and pieces, not much from Europe or elsewhere o/s.
In overall terms, unashamedly focussed on Sth Aust

As I'm new to this forum - thought this was a good opportunity for my first post.
Penfolds
Chard Farm (Central Otago)
Stella Bella
Clairult
Brown Hill
The last three got a guernsey because I was in Margaret River a month or so a go and -----well : it's pretty hard to keep the credit card in check in an excellent winery.

Re: The Top 5 Producers/Wineries in Your Cellar Are...
I don't think I have more than a dozen from any winery. A result of this cellar being cellar no. 4. The good thing is that it has allowed the cellar to evolve to suit my wine-drinking habits. No Excel file or cellartracker so easiest to do regions.
1. Duoro (snap paulf!)
2. Mosel Saar Ruwer
3. Champagne
4. Bordeaux
5. Clare
Less than a dozen N Rhone left - this needs some attention.
cheers

If you had to choose between drinking great wine or winning Lotto, which would you choose - Red or White?
