Probably have 120 bottles of Colonial Estate Wines and probably 60 or so Tahbilk. Maybe 80 bottles of NZ pinot mostly Felton Roads. Used to have 100 ' s of Maglieri Shiraz but I've drunk most of them.

Wynns Coonawarra Estate 9.0% -Black labels and the odd Riddoch

Fraser Gallop 6.7% -went a little nuts here a few years back

Wendouree - annual allocation for 20 years + that is now a wall a few shelves deep as a family heirloom.

Henschke- reducing rapidly though the low Aussie could see some refilling of Mt Ed/HofG.

Rockford- will up the purchasing with low $AUD.

Penfolds- not to be replaced.

G Mascarello- added to though 2010 vintage has seen these wines elevated to international trophies. Funny, buy a bottle and you need 20 to 30 years to see it's magic in the case of Monprivato, that is a heck of an investment in time and storage costs!


There is so much magical wine I expect to diversify further. That said, with the low $AUD I expect to invest in Australian wines again soon, however, I want the classics of the 80's and 90's that have proven themselves. Unsure of new wave stuff that is just a smooth layer of berry confit.

I'm overweight in Coonawarra, but I'm rusted on and not complaining. Haven't updated the ol' Excel spreadsheet
For a while, so can't give you anything fancy like percentages to the first decimal point.

Majors are Wynns and Penfolds, next is daylight
Then reasonable quantities from Katnook, Bowen Estate, Leconfield, Mildara, Seppelt, Lindemans, Romney Park, Majella, Balnaves
Lesser quantities from Redman, Petaluma, Grant Burge, Peter Lehmann, Felton Rd, Hollick
Lots of other bits and pieces, not much from Europe or elsewhere o/s.

In overall terms, unashamedly focussed on Sth Aust
