Benevelli Langhe Nebbiolo .... because, well, I love Nebbiolo!
Was this the 2011?
I just bought 6 of the Piero Benevelli Langhe Nebbiolo 2011
Then coz i love Riesling, 6 * 2013 Moores Hill Riesling.... IMO some of the best going around at the moment.
Slightly OT
I see the Moores Hill Property is for sale. This makes me very sad as Julian is a wonderful winemaker and all round top bloke.
I hope whoever buys it will keep him on as wine maker, as the quality coming out of that place is simply stunning.
The Benevelli Langhe Nebbiolo is the about to arrive in OZ, 2012 vintage.

I will be doing the same thing as well... Things we do for great champers
At least the '07 can be enjoyed while waiting for the '02, '06 and '08

I enjoyed it as much as the BdB, whereas most rate the BdB as superior

I'm told (but haven't tried one yet) the Majella is a decent one at a reasonable price. I grabbed a 6 pack, although I'm cutting right back on my Coonawarra buys as I'm not really into the style anymore. JH gives it a 96 for what it is worth.....
Cheers

I am leaning more toward the Margaret River cab blend style (and Yarra Valley as well) more than the Coonawarra straight Cab style, but it is nice to have variety in the cellar.

I bought a six pack of the Majella 2010 here in Singapore and have drunk all but 2 of them (as no point keeping them long-term in this climate!) ... drinking very well, but with great purity of fruit & balance... will age wonderfully IMHO.

I have no first hand experience in particular wines, but would expect Balnaves to be fairly good wines. Is Bellweather Coonawarra ?? If so that might be worth tracking down.

Agree. Brand Laira will have a bit more acidity and while it still is very Coonawarra, it doesn't lose itself in the typical Coonawarra Cab style...
Haha..Andy is my palate buddy...

One of my wifes relatives has a stack of grange in his cellar that he has no real interest in drinking.
I went there to buy a 90 & 91 and when I saw the entire mint condition boxed case of 1990 it didn't take long for me to give in and take it.
Still got the 1 bottle of 91 which was also mint and still wrapped, so 7 granges in one day is not a common occurrence. dying to knock 1 off tonight but the wife is pregnant and I don't think I could do an entire bottle myself.

Expensive month. Not what I had in mind.
Some Head gear reds (Shiraz and Grenache), some Benevelli Langhe Nebbiolo, some Ravensworth (the latest release SV and the 2013 Riesling) and a 6 pack of some of the Clonakilla limited release wines (Pinot, ceoltoiri and the Syrah).
Cheers
Matt

Head Wines "The Contrarian" Shiraz 2013 x 6
Head Wines Riesling 2014 x 6
Little bit miffed actually about him releasing a "super cuvee" from 2012 hence perhaps diverting the best fruit from the other labels which we had no notice of when buying them last year... but that didnt stop me buying a few of the Contrarian which I always think is the best VFM in the range.
