Last night
at a wine dinner thingy we were served an
English Rose (rosay, not the flower).
Made in the South of England, from a strange mix of varieties.
Hmm, it was
well
strange, but kinda wine like, sorta.
My first ever English wine!

Re: Does Scotland make any good wine?
I think the questionn should be "Does Scotland make any wine"?
Wine, women and song. Ideally, you can experience all three at once.
Re: Does Scotland make any good wine?
I don't think wine is made in Scotland or ever has been even in the Middle Ages when vineyards were found quite far North in England. But it's not a stupid notion. Apparently some wine is made in Sweden which I guess has an even more unfriendly climate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish_wine .
If global warming proceeds at the rate predicted by some alarmists, Scotland could see flourishing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay plantations by the end of the century and Burgundy will be a desert.

You're in luck, Craig, award winning Scottish wines can be purchased online, direct from this winery. Let us know how you go.
Cheers,

I must say that 'Bottle Smash' sounds like a fine idea. That could catch on. Would be one way to deal with the wine glut...

No, the joke was pretty obvious - the search for Scottish wine was just follow up fun...
