ta, this is about the point in the discussion where I normally go red in the face and start ranting about Australia's absurbly abusive wine equalisation tax and why should I pay 30-50% more for wine than nice people such as yourself in most civilised countries. Then some guys responds by posting that if we didn't have the tax he would go out of business and therefore I have to pay the tax in his best interest and before long it is a full on spat. So all I can say is how luck you are and if you feel like sharing any of the first growths, I hope to be in Europe one day.

Found some Sandalford 02 "The Prendivalle" in a bottleshop reduced from $110 a bottle to $60.
I bought some of their 05 recently for $95, so grabbed the four on the table to put away.
They say on the label up to 25 years of cellaring potential (under the right condtions).

Some 05 "Paxton something" reduced from $95 to $50.
Grabbed a couple of those.
A case of St Hugo Cabernet (05)
Four bottles of Johanne.

Rooman, just let me know when you are once in Switzerland. I am sure we find a nice bottle to try.

Cheers.

That is very kind of you. With a bit of luck, I may be in Malta and Como some time next year. A wee drive over the border would go down a treat. I am sure I could find something drinkable to bring along for the drive. Zurich or Gstaad?

Cheers
