I've got a few hours to kill Friday afternoon in Sydney CBD. Any suggestions for a good place to enjoy a few glasses of wine?
Cheers,
Mark

Book yourself a table at the Oyster Bar if the weather looks good. It's just before you get to the opera house right against the water.
Skygarden in Pitt Street Mall has a nice rooftop bar, but don't know if their wine list is any good.
No 1 Alfred Street might be worth a punt, too. That's at the very bottom of Pitt and George Streets opposite Circular Quay
Cafe Sydney is the Shiznitz but the best view is for diners, and not for drinkers. It's atop Customs House, also at Circular Quay.
Glass Brasserie in the Hilton Hotel, and Wine Odyssey at the Rocks are a bit more indoorsey, but should have worthwhile winelists.
Verandah Bar off Castlereagh Street might suit if you're up that end of town. And Ivy off George Street in Wynyard is pretty impressive, but will pack out.

I suggest the Ash Street cellars in the laneway at rear of the Ivy. Cool french provincial style place, and interesting wine list.

Thanks for the suggestions. Weather's looking good, should make for a enjoyable day out (pity about the redeye flight!).

The Meat and Wine Co. at Darling Harbour has an ok wine list. Nice setting too.
