need some help

Post by rens »

Hello all
I need some help. I am looking for the name of a wine bar in brisbane. I read it about 12 months ago in the paper - a bar that had grange by the glass or 30ml tasting(1989 vintage I believe). I think it was located at southbank/south brisbane. Anyone know the one I'm talking about? Does it still exist?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Is this what you are looking for

Doesn't quite fit what you said about 30ml tasting - but does have 1988 Grange at $110 a glass.

This place is sydney had 30ml tasting of grange apparently (not getting the two confused - or at least combing them).

the best wine store in London has this system - it is fantastic and surely the future of wine retailing.

I would love to think that this would work in my native Perth but I'm sure that all the self interested wowsers we have at our multiple levels of government would make it almost impossible one way or another!

There is one in Perth. It's at Steve's and has 32 wines on offer 8)

I have been to both. The Sampler is just heaven but the concept is pretty much the same. Steve's allow 50mL (25mL I think in some cases) pours and they usually have stock of what is on tasting in the wine store itself. They had an oxidised eiswein on which I was disappointed by but otherwise great. The actual Enomatics are in the wine store itself so don't even need to walk into the wine bar. Worth a look.

cheers

Bartenders are supposed to have people skills. Or was it people are supposed to have bartending skills?
