Two days nothing, I deleted phonies yesterday, so this is one day's lot perhaps.

Some goose has to check every day, choose real from fake, and delete.

We have had that mod in place for 12-18 months now.

You do have the fill in such a box to register.

Try it yourself, you cannot register without filling in such a random box.

They simply have a work around that.

It does not stop them.

Something that can't use an automated process. Although people are actually paid to join up forums with random accounts, but at least it stops the bots that can get around Captchas.

I think there may be a newer version of that mod which defeats the bots. The other alternative of a question which can be changed is a good one. I had one of those on my site and it cut the automatic comments down to nil.

Yes, I have put a very simple question on the sign-up form for the wine club on my site and it seems to be 100% successful so far.

I was getting too many porn stars as members.

The answer is in the question but those porn stars are not very bright!
